Fund Raiser for the Save Our SIgn Event a HUGE Success!!!

Huntington, WV - Monday, September 26, 2011 – Once again the city of Huntington showed the world that great things can be accomplished by a small, determined group of people this past weekend. Friday, September 23, 2011, A group of citizens and corporate volunteers that call themselves “Friends of the Keith”  Gathered with the people of Huntington for the Save Our Sign Fund Raiser in order to restore the damaged, yet iconic neon Keith Albee Sign.

The sign had to be taken down by Paris Signs in early July this past year due to damage from wind storms.  The goal of the fundraiser, $28,500.00 was met and now the majestic neon sign will be restored to its former glory.

All night long the great halls of the Keith Albee were filled with music, inspiration and determination to “Save Our Sign”.  The evening opened with a beautifully historic video by Trifecta Productions filmaker Josh Edwards about the Keith Albee. Emcee Clint McElroy guided patrons through the rest of the evening with a roaring good time from musical artists, Mystic Mountain Blueberry, Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Huntington favorite Rick Huckaby.

The organizers of the event, representatives for the Keith Albee, and representatives from Paris Signs will be available to answer any questions tomorrow at the Keith Albee at 3PM as they meet to discuss next steps and to officially announce that our Sign has been Saved!
