Signs!

Many of you, like us, have been patiently awaiting news of the beloved Keith-Albee sign that was taken down earlier this year.  As you know the SAVE OUR SIGN benefit was held to help raise enough funds see our beloved neon lady back in the air, and who knew a small town full of love and determination made it happen.

For a few months now many have been wondering the date of her installation, while specific details are not on hand yet, earlier this week the Trifecta team was invited to Paris Signs to take a look at how the restoration is coming along.

Tell us, what do you think?

HUNTINGTON — Complete with new green and white lights, the iconic Keith Albee sign returned Wednesday to its 4th Avenue home — the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center.

The sign, restored and installed by Paris Signs, rolled into the 1000 block of 4th Avenue about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The reinstallation process caused the roadway to be closed for much of the day.

The 83-year-old sign was removed in July 2011 after it received storm damage. A “Save Our Sign” benefit concert then raised a little less than $28,500 for the necessary repairs in September 2011.

After a wonderful premiere of part 1 of History’s Hatfields & McCoy Mini Series, the scene was set to relight the newly restored sign.  With the bang of an 1800’s pistol (pulled by actor Tom Berenger) the Keith Albee Sign was back in action!
